In a recent meeting held in Geneva to discuss the future of the internet, the differences between the US and those opposing it were sharp and stark. The EU issued a warning that “the internet will fall apart” if the US insists on retaining monopoly control. The delegation sent by Brazil issued a statement that attacked the US monopoly “On internet governance, three words tend to come to mind: lack of legitimacy.
